I know it's a recurring theme of the struggles and biases Black gay men experience in the online hookup and dating world.

On the online hookup aspect, which I've been using on and off for years, I've been on the receiving end of anti-Blackness from everyone.

With other Black men, there is always a weird dynamic of sexual dominance and prowess, which I'm not too fond of, because of my past and current trauma. On top of that, I've been rejected and ignored for not having a big dick, since I'm sexually versatile. For many Black men, unfortunately, being hung is a prerequisite and a dealbreaker to top each other.

With White men, the ones matching my caliber, never gave the time of the day. When it rarely occurred, they were on drugs. The only ones who were/are always on my DM's and "liked" me are the ugly, bottom feeder, bottom barrel, old, wrinkled ones. I made the mistake of hooking up (he sent me an old blurry photo of him from years ago) with one, while new to the scene, back in 2017: fucking regret. After that encounter, I blocked and deleted his account when he tried following me.

With Mestizo and East Asian men, it was the same thing as their White counterparts. The only difference is I had handful encounters with the ones that matched my caliber.

As someone who has been working out for a decade and plus now, I've been unlucky in terms of the caliber of men while hooking up. Not only do I have to contend with the limited pool of compatible Black gay men (look above at the reasons mentioned), but I tend the receive attention from the worst (creeps, degenerates, fetishizers, fat, ugly/plain-looking) men of other racial groups. Ugghhhh!!!

Being a minority within a minority within a minority is one of the brutal, rough, and tough experiences Black gay men have to navigate in the sexual and dating market. As someone who is on the attractive side, it is ten times folded.

Black men as a whole are already hurting enough with high suicide and depression rates. Unfortunately, this doesn't stop us from perpetuating White Supremacy on each other.
