PhD. Is it worth it?

Post Body

I am a masters student currently trying finishing my internship at a university laboratory. My supervisor offered me a PhD position in engineering. Right now I am in two minds if I should accept it or not. My other option is to join the same laboratory for one year contact as an engineer to continue on the same project that I am working on. I don't know if I should commit for 3 years for the PhD or accept the engineering position for 1 year and then find a job after. Feedback in terms of experience, salaries is much appreciated.
