Bonjour,
I am visiting your country in a few weeks as part of my two week European cruise. I am specifically visiting Cannes.
I am aware that your culture is very different in comparison to here in the US in how we interact. I would like some tips in how to interact properly. Like politely asking directions and how to handle ordering at a restaurant.
The type of greeting when entering stores would be great too.
I just want to keep this trip pleasant, keeping my elderly parents comfortable, and most of all try to give the utmost respect to the locals. There's always gonna be a chance of negative interaction but I'm gonna do my best in preventing that from happening.
All advice would be greatly appreciated.
Merci.
