J'écris un roman. Une mère accompagne sa fille se faire masser. Je veux que les faits soient culturellement exacts.

En France, les mineurs se déshabillent-ils complètement pour les massages, ou portent-ils un maillot de bain ou autre? Dans mon roman, la mère remarque des bleus sur sa fille, et c'est au spa qu'elle les voit.

Je ne trouve pas de réponse en ligne car rechercher « naked French minor massage » n'est pas un bonne idée!

(Une amie espagnole a dit qu'ils garderaient leurs sous-vêtements, mais il est possible que la culture soit différente, je pense.)

In case it's not clear and my English helps, I'm writing a novel, and it's really important for me to get all my facts correct, not to misrepresent any country's culture. In the story, a mother takes her daughter to a spa day, where they get massages. There, the mother notices bruises on her daughter's body (she's been worried about bullying, etc.).

Do minors take off all their clothes for a massage in France? I have a friend from Spain who read my first draft, and she said there is no way a teenage girl would do that. I know that Spain and France are different countries with different cultures, and I'm pretty sure in my country a teenage girl would not, either. But I know France is more liberal about nudity than where I live (and when I lived in Japan, everyone got totally naked at bathhouses even when they're quite young), so I was just guessing when I wrote this scene and I know cultural norms can vary wildly. I don't know where France sits on that spectrum.

Or would this girl keep on underwear? Or would she wear a swimsuit? Wearing too much clothes interferes with the massage, so I know she wouldn't keep on jeans and a jacket!
