Hello Floridians!
My husband and I are traveling to the gorgeous Florida keys this summer (Late May-Early June) with my parents and would love some input from locals/fellow travelers. I've been to Florida many times on family trips to Disney, but never this far south.
My father loves to relax on the beaches, especially near a bar, and my mother loves the fresh caught cuisine. However, I find laying on the beach all day gets tiresome, and was looking for suggestions to fill some of this time. My husband and I are not into the club scene, however we would love to visit local bars and try local brews. He absolutely loves seeking out the best burger joints as well! I would also love to take him on a cliche date such as themed mini golf or snorkeling as he has never seen the ocean.
While my parents are taking us, we are still paying for our own 'excursions', which puts our daily spending at about $200/day maximum. This will most likely be our last vacation for a long while, so I want to experience as much as I can in those 5 short days!
Here's the itinerary:
Key Largo - Mon - 1 night
Marathon - Tues - 1 night po ip
Key West - Wed/Thurs - 2 nights
Key Largo - Friday - 1 night
