I know this might not get many comments but I always have been fascinated how friendships and relationships differ from the US to other countries.
The French have words for two kinds of friends which are amis (very close friends) and copains (acquaintances). This is something I think about a lot for some reason.
Many think relationships in America are generally superficial which is sadly very true. Friendships can end as quickly as they start.
What is it like for you in your country? Are people more deep or superficial?
