People who are both mixed European and Middle Eastern living in Europe, what is your experience?
Post Body

Growing up in the United States I cant really say I feel much of a difference since we are a multicultural country and my last name is Italian. I have roots from Poland and Syria as well. No matter where I travel to people are very surprised (positivity) from me having so many origins.

I don’t feel that I receive discrimination but then again I was born in the United States, all of my origins are longer than 3 generations and my last name is Italian. I live in there suburbs of Detroit which is a large Middle Eastern demographic near it in Dearborn so most people do assume my Syrian genes at first but can see the Italian. Polish is just invisible people people assume they are just blonde haired and blue eyed.

If you count a few people who have turned me down for not being their type racism then I guess you could say I have experienced it but I don’t.

I am wondering for people who both European and Middle Eastern living I Europe what their life is like and if they are discriminated or not in where they live.

Do people find you exotic sometimes? Are you treated better in some aspects?
