There was a very interesting post last week, in which people in this sub gave their opinion about which class they feel they belong to. I'm curious to extend that, by asking people to use the BBC class calculator (takes maybe 3 minutes) to find out which of the 7 class brackets you fall into and whether you feel it's accurate for you.
For those from countries without any sort of class structure, it's more complicated than just how much you earn, or what you do - it's about a diverse range of stuff, from how you spend your spare time to your accent. This is largely why I'm curious to ask people from other European countries - to see how it compares outside the UK. Aware that house prices and earnings vary across Europe, which I suspect will be where this calculator falls down - but it'll be interesting to find out.
For the money stuff, you can use 1:1 for pounds to euros without being too far off.
