As a Brit, and given that much of cinema is US-dominated, I tend to only watch English language films. I feel I'm probably missing out on some great movies in other languages. I have watched a couple of French language films with my housemate who studies French (one about a Southern post-office manage who moves to the North and another about three young guys living in a poor neighbourhood in Paris during riots. I don't remember the names) and City of God which is Brazilian/Portuguese language I think. I'd love to expand my horizons and maybe even learn new languages in the future.
So what are your favourite films in your native language or other non-English foreign languages? All languages welcome, and TV programmes too. Thanks!
