Why aren't 2 stroke blower type engines used with gas?

Post Body

There are some diesels that work like that but i haven't seen gas ones. Instead of pushing new air fuel mixture from the crankcase into the cylinder why not use roots blower for that. That will allow for seperate oil and combustion. The engine wouldn't need 2 stroke oil. It would need direct injection for efficient operation. It will have best of both worlds More power (2 power strokes per crank rotation) No extra emissions compared to normal 4 stroke since it doesn't need 2 stroke oil to be mixed with fuel.
