Hi,
I’ve been wondering if it’s just me, or if there are any companies, or start ups out there they are researching into asset protection technology that deter shop lifting in stores and ultimately creating a permanent solution to that problem one day. So, I’m not sure if this is a very niche area in engineering that primary focuses on creating technology, or any solutions like RFID tags, electronic locks, improved surveillance cameras, digital signage, and other innovative tech that can stop shoplifters. I’m very passionate about this so I’m hopeful there might be a solution to this one day without ruining the customer’s experience. Maybe a company that are creating an AI surveillance camera that can spot shoplifters through their bodily behaviors? Anyways, thank you for any feedback. I’m also in community college taking my general eds, in hopes of declaring my major in electrical, or computer engineering, so any advice will be helpful to stir me into the right direction with electronics and embedded systems.
