Large-Scale Siphon

Hello, I’m working on a project and we need to fill a water reservoir with water from its neighboring reservoir. We discussed using a large scale siphon and I was wondering if this is practical.

The situation: reservoir 1 is full and the water is about 40’ deep. Reservoir 2 is the same depth but is currently empty. The top of the ground between the two reservoir is about 10’ above the water level of the full one. There’s about 15’ horizontally between them. If we use a large water line (6” - 12”), can we siphon the water from one side to the other? If so, is there a certain amount of flow we could expect?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
