Post Body

How does the figure in the left controls a motor. My problem is with q1 and q2.

I have seen similar circuits of the left one a lot in my search for an motor drive ic. Some where with an complementary Darlington pair wher the npn is the final stage near the motor.

I have no problem with the right circuit at all. But regarding the left one, isn't an npn is used in low side switching?

As with npn curent should flow from the base(high signal) directly to the gnd for it to conduct on emiiter-collecter?
