How much electricity do I need to power an hdd?
Post Body

Sorry to ask this noob question here. I'm trying to create a NAS DIY, through an old orange pi one soc. The components are the Soc, a usb 3.0 hdd a usb WiFi dongle and a 5v 2a power supply. If I only connect one component, everything is ok. If I connect a usb hub and both components, hdd makes strange noises typical of when the current is not enough to constantly power hdd. So I try to power the USB hub with a 5v 0.35a phone power supply and I have the same result.

So the question is : if I increase the amps of the power supply. Can I power both devices? Otherwise what power supply do I need to power hdd alone?
