What's the best way to arrange digital / analog pins in a header?

Post Body

I have about 40 signal lines (20 analog, 20 digital), and 6 power lines (3 pairs of different voltages & ground) that I need to run over some kind of backplane connector. I'd like to use a connector of that type, but I'm not sure what the best way to go about it is.

I know that it's common to space out digital lines with ground lines to reduce crosstalk, and that I shouldn't run digital lines right next to analog lines. But ... there's only so much space in any given header. Should I spec for twice the number of signal lines, with a ground line between each signal line? I can break this up into two connectors if necessary.

Thanks!
