So I just bought a multimeter and tried to test my TIP31C Transistor . I read on the webs that first connect the leads(Diode Tester Mode) to base-emmiter , then base-collector to check if the have the same reading (if they have then you are good to go). Then to check the collector-Emitter combination. If the Multimeter Beeps then the transistor is faulty. Well I Checked the transistor before putting it into my driver circuit for a slayer exciter and it was good. However when I provide power to the circuit and check the emitter-collector combination (while providing voltage) the transistor beeps. Is the Transistor all right or i must replace it with another one?
