I want to make a laptop cooling stand like you can commercially buy. I have a (60m?) computer fan by yate loon that is 12V and 0.30A. Model number: D12SL-12. and a Delta Electronics brush-less fan. 12V 1.60A model AFC1212DE and it appears to go to a specific dell computer. Both of these were bought on Amazon for an unrelated project.
The Yate Loon one has 3 wires and the Delta one has 4 wires. I think they have to do with checking the speed of the fan and changing the speed but i am unsure.
So i will eventually put both of these into a case i will build, and i want a switch to turn off or on, or a dimmer switch(?) to adjust the speed.
How do i wire these to make the fans work from either a plug into an outlet, or a battery, or using the laptop to power it? I would prefer using laptop power, or an outlet because my laptop is always plugged in.
I have some chargers that go to other electronic items, cameras, phones, etc. And i like the idea of using a charger that puts outs 19V and 2.15A.
So in general, how do i power these fans, and how could i wire them? I live in United States if that makes a difference. (different household voltages?)
EDIT: Also in general, I would want this to be able to safely operate for as long as 16 hours continuously, in case i leave it on all night or something
