Why would an LED on a guitar killswitch always be on except when the cable is plugged in?
Post Body

I am trying to add a 12mm Apiele Momentary switch as a killswitch. I have the following wiring. Positive from LED is going into the battery cable positive with a 270 ohm resistor. The black appears to be the led negative so itโ€™s running to ground. The negative to ground for the killswitch portion. The negative from the battery cable to the stereo jack output. I followed the following wiring diagram. The issue Iโ€™m running into is, the led is always on except when I plug in the cable. I want it to be the opposite but Iโ€™m not sure where I messed up or what to do to fix it.
