Putting two ribbon cables side-by-side
Post Body
Hello!
I’m looking to replace the ribbon cable that connects the main unit of my Kenwood car stereo to its touchscreen and controls and it’s a tough one to find. It appears to be 70-pin, 0.5mm pitch. I bought a pack of 68-pin cables and was wondering if it’s ever done to trim down two cables with, say, 35 pins each and just use them side-by-side (and, side question, why can’t I find a 70-p, 0.5mm cable?). Thanks for any help!
