Yihua 852d++ iron cuts heat after a while.
Post Body

I have an 852d i find I can solder for a little while but then I wonder why solder isn't melting and the iron is cool enough to touch. It's the standard yihua 907a handle.

I've checked continuity between the plug and the soldered points inside the iron and it seems to be fine, the resistances of the element and the sensor seem to also be within yihua's spec. Sensor: 1-2ohm element: 10-20ohm.

Could be a no brainer but I have a few spare elements on hand but it doesn't seem to me the element is the problem. Is there any other common faults that might be the cause?

Cheers. And thanks in advance.
