Hey guys - I'm planning on building an attenuator for a high power guitar amp (so it sounds good without my neighbours calling the police), which involves a a couple of 200W resistors - I could downsize to 100W but general consensus is double power rating for attenuator resistors.

These definitely need a decent heat sink to run smoothly, anything I've found shows them being screwed in, but I want all the resistors on one mighty heat sink for "compactness" and it doesn't seem like any of these come with screw holes to allow that - what would you guys suggest? Is epoxy a thing or would people tap and die?

Also I wondered about soldering the heat sink to the resistor so the thermal compound never dries out and couples as best as possible, is this crazy talk or a thing? Only can find people soldering LEDs to heatsinks.. thanks!
