1
LED indicator circuit for reverse polarity
Post Body

Problem statement:
V_SOURCE is expected to be 12-24V and GND_SOURCE is expected to be ground. When these two are switched, a diagnostic LED should light up.

Approach:

Questions:
1. Do I need to protect this circuit with a diode? If so, where should it go? (I'm guessing between GND_SOURCE and where GND_SOURCE is now)
2. Is the configuration of the pull up and the gate resistor correct?
3. Is there a better way?
