Wiring in a hot tub
Post Body

We are getting a hot tub than can either plug n play on a dedicated 20 amp 120 v outlet, or a 50 amp 240v. Weโ€™d prefer to do the 240v as the hot tub runs more efficiently on that as well as jets and heater can be run at the same time. Attached is a pic of 200 amp panel with room for a 50 amp breaker our issues is the 100 amp service on the outside of the house before the breaker. Now itโ€™s an all electric 900 sq ft house. In the winter we have never had issues tripping the breaker as we ran im sure everything including range and dryer simultaneously quite often. so if we were mindful of not running the range/ dryer at the same time is this something we would be able to do or are we asking for the outside breaker to trip constantly?
