10-50 Dryer Outlet
Post Body

Hey ! Trying to solve this problem . I’ve seen a lot of post online but no help yet . My home has a 10-50 outlet (1st Picture) . My dryer came with a 10/4 30 Amp Gage Cable (2nd Picture). From what I read , I won’t use an adapter and it sounds like it’s easier to change the dryer cable. Is it safe for me to use a 6/2 Gauge 8/1 Gauge 50 Amp cable (3rd Picture) ? The dryer breaker shows to be 30 amps.
