AFCI Trips - any way to avoid them??
Post Body

Hey guys, I just moved into a brand new rental, and all of the outlets (excluding the kitchen) are on one circuit. If my computer and a screen are the only things plugged in, the second the computer calls for its fan to start the circuit blows.

The electrician assures me that this is how it's supposed to function, and that there is nothing to be done about it. I currently have my computer set up in the kitchen with a massive HDMI cord running to the screen, but this is AWFUL.

Is there any way that I can work around this? I'm realizing now that I just got a new place in the middle of a heatwave, and there's no chance that circuit will take an AC unit, damn.
