Ideas for a door indicator light
Post Body

I've got a closet door that is perpendicular to our garage door. If someone is in the garage and comes in when the closet door is open, the doors slam into each other. I'm wondering if I can add a NO contact switch of some kind (magnetic or a push button) in the closet door frame and have small indicator light of some kind in the garage. That way when it's lit, the person in the garage knows to wait on opening the door. Any ideas on products and execution? There's some power in the garage nearby so I could install a small transformer to go with 12 or 24v.
