While costs have gone up standard of living based on data has gone up as well. My parents at a young age could only dream of the lifestyle of kids today. (Vacations, TVs, etc.)
However at the same time today, a lot of young people canโt afford homes.
We are told the reasons range from inflation to not building enough homes in the past 40 years to currency debasement to baby boomers. One way we hear itโs never the been the best time to be alive and on the other we hear how terrible things are.
I listened to an episode of Raoul Pal on impact theory and he mentioned how this was caused by the birth of the boomers, which drove wages down which then due to so much debt in the system cause the 08 financial collapse. Then we papered things over by printing money. The only way out of this is through technological advancement.
Do you expect standard of living to continue to improve?
