Have I overtaxed my dopamine system? Case report
Post Body

I have tried various chemicals, trying to see how most different recreational categories affect me (pyschs, dissos, stims, etc.). I've tried to be a little responsible by doing them only on weekends and doing things like take rollsafe.org supplement guide when doing serotonin releasers (6APB for example, not just MDMA). I test everything and often do an acetone wash.

I've only ever had one "bender." I spent an evening with a girl I started dating and we did an average line of NEP:Hexen (30-50 mg total I think) and then 30 minutes later some IM ketamine (50mg each time). We alternated back and forth and did this maybe 5-6 times. I had taken MDMA a couple weeks before so this was pretty stupid for several reasons. I had a zingy feeling in my brain after the MDMA that went mostly away before doing the stim/K night. Then, after the stim/k night, I have had a fairly consistent slight irritation (swelling like feeling, not really zingy but something is slightly off feeling) in my pre-frontal cortex area. I've significantly backed off the chems, especially the RC's like hexen and NEP. I haven't touched those since. I felt 95% back to normal but after too little sleep, too much alcohol and a chem or two, I'd get the "I went too far again" feeling back about 20% or so.

So, my question. With this history, I will notice a similar "something is wrong" feeling on days I just have a coffee for breakfast. It's not as bad or nothing at all, if I have coffee with breakfast. I ever so slightly feel it as well, if I have a lot of caffiene throughout the day (2-3 cups of coffee and maybe a diet dew). Does this seem like I've over taked my dopaminergic system? Could it be my serotonin system as well or instead?

I know I need to give my body a better break so that I don't feel anything at all so I'm not looking for suggestions on that. I'm more interested for curiosities sake, what I likely did.

Also, I don't smoke (weed or nicotine) although I vape 1-2 hits of weed off a vape pen one night every 2-3 weeks. I am fairly healthy, exercise 3-4 times a week. Only sleep 6-6.5 hours on average a night (a couple nights of less with a couple nights of catch up 8-9 hours giving that average).
