Do different drugs release dopamine in different areas of the brain?
Post Body

I'm trying to get a better idea of how brain damage might happen from poly drug use...

First off, do different drugs sometimes release the same chemicals via different receptors? It seems like cocaine and opioids both cause release of dopamine. Do they (or a better example with two different drugs) release that dopamine via different receptors? If they do it via different receptors, do they cause that same dopamine release from the same nerve endings in the same area of the brain?
