Playing the devil's advocate. Anyone know research that suggests LSD causes brain damage?
Post Body

I've been studying this stuff for 6 years. Just realized I can't think of anything negative in I've read. I could use a refresher on the dangers of LSD.

To start things off I'd ask whether there is any information on left hemisphere alterations in the language areas. It seems to me the pervasive claims of ineffability warrant some attention. In my experience, my language use appears to increase after taking psychedelics--I find myself writing more and being a lot more level-headed for a couple months after a trip. Maybe ineffable experiences cause me to improve my language skills by attempting to communicate things. I'm not sure. But I've heard about psychedelics causing pseudo-epilepsy and I've read many cases of epilepsy which bare an uncanny resemblance to psychedelic states. It's also very common of people to say they know people who do psychedelics who speak very incoherently.

I'm completely in love with the experience provided by psychedelics, so after a recent trip, I've been on the hunt to figure out exactly how often one can trip without suffering major consequences. Is it doable every 3 months? I want to know if I'm damaging my brain. I don't care that it's altered, but things like decreased cortical thickness in the language areas, or dlPFC, for example, would be a red flag for me. But I've never encountered literature covering these.
