Training while recovering from golfers elbow?

When it comes to training, my forearm hurts badly while rowing and curling. Would it be ok to do just deadlifts ( on back day, just so there is some sort of stimulation for th3 back) if there is no pain in forearm? Would I be able to get away with doing that during time of the recovery?
