(26 M) Ear/sinus infection and don’t have insurance! How to get over it or get cheap antibiotics?
Post Body

I (26m, 5ft 8in, 160lbs) have a history of sinus problems that all of my family has. I get a sinus infection that leads to an ear infection almost every year. I had a cold for about a week and while i am feeling better mostly, my sinuses has been a bit painful and my ear is clogged. I can breathe slightly clearer BUT still feel like my normal yearly sinus infection that occurs after a big head cold. Well, my sinuses are feeling infected and now I’m completely deaf in my left ear. I guess there’s no way of knows by 100% for sure if it’s infected so other options to clear sinuses and ears woudl work as well.

I lost my insurance and am in the process of getting new coverage. But it is taking a few days/weeks to begin the new coverage and with thanksgiving in a few days I don’t want to pay $500 at urgent care just to get antibiotics.

Is there any advice on what to do. Either…

A) flush it out with over the counter medications or treatments

B) get antibiotics as cheaply as possible.

Any advice would be helpful, if I need to I will go to urgent care and get this treated. Bud if I can deal with it without taking out a loan that would be great.

Thanks!
