Lower stomach pain for a year
Post Body

Hey yall, (m/35/69"/105/US)

I've been experiencing awful stomach pain on and off for the last year. It first happened last Oct for about a week and the ER said it was IBS. 6 months later it came back. 4 months later it came back again and I started seeing a GI. My stool samples and barium test came back good. I'm now nearly 3 weeks into this episode and it's the worst its ever been.

Doc said its not a lactose issue or chrons. UC is still an option and I have a colonoscopy in 10 days. It's lower stomach pain and a lot of inflammation. Im not even able to work I just lay on the couch or in bed most days. I have diarrhea 99% of the time and recently the pain gets even worse after I go. I'm eating tums and drinking pepto like it's going out of style and it barely gives me relief. I've lost a bunch of weight and had to reschedule my colonoscopy because I was unable to fast for 24 hours after weeks of not eating. If anyone has any insight or questions please reach out, I can't live like this anymore.
