Sunburn Blistering advice? [25F, very pale complexion]
Post Body

Over the weekend I went to an outdoor event at a high altitude location and the sun was pretty intense. I put sunscreen on my face and arms. I must have forgotten about my chest and upper arms, and the burns were pretty severe but I have been treating with bacitracin and after sun moisturizer with aloe/vitamin E. Those burns have been healing alright. Here’s my issue, I was not wearing a hat (very dumb..I know..) my scalp is far more burnt than I originally realized. Today I discovered yellow crusty painful scabs in the center of the burn and I have no idea what to do. I can’t really see it, had to take a photo of the top of my head to figure out what I was feeling when I ran my fingers through. How do I know if it’s infected? Any advice greatly appreciated..I’ve never had a burn like this on my scalp before.

Edit: for additional detailed information. The burn occurred on Sunday but today is when I noticed how bad it is. I don’t take any medications aside from medical cannabis (oral tincture not smoked 1.5mgTHC: 25mgCBD). I do not smoke and I drink about 1x a week, I had had a drink the day I was in the sun. I have endometriosis and hormonal acne (I do use retinol on my face). I am 5’6” 150lbs. Caucasian with fair skin and a family Hx of skin cancer.
