38M Non-smoker (vaper though). On PREP and anti anxiety meds. Taking medication for a fungal toenail infection. 5’7 190 fairly healthy. Work out 4 days a week.

About a month and a half started noticing white waxy spots on the top of my penis. During intercourse it would get very red. Sometimes produce a foul smell. Noticed the rash and white spots appeared along the shaft as well. Didn’t really hurt but looked weird. Sometimes get burning pain when urinating.

Went to the dr and they thought it was herpes. I researched pictures of herpes and didn’t think it looked like that but what do I know? They took a swab and sent me home with medication for herpes (twice a day for 10 days). Test came back negative. Rash is still present.

Went back and tested for all STDs and came back. negative. Took a herpes blood test and came back positive for HSV-1. Dr said it could be past infection.

Notice that the rash gets worse when having sex or masturbation. There’s a white spot on the top that comes and goes when irritated. Sometimes it just red like a swollen pimple.

Could this be Balantis? Jock itch? I have another DR scheduled for two weeks out. But it’s bugging me. Please helpNSFW - penis rash
