My dad is 49, for the last 4 or 5 months he has been throwing up blood and hasn't been able to eat solid food. He's lost a lot of weight and is very pale. He recently went to the hospital and they told him he has stomach cancer. They're going to try to surgically remove it. He had been to the doctor before but I think they told him he just had ulcers. Im told he has a tumor pressing against his esophagus. But I really don't know much right now.
My question is based on the throwing up blood and not being able to eat solid food for months is this pretty advanced? How likely is it that its spread by now?
