37m 315lbs down from 365 last fall. I have not drank or smoked or done recreational drugs since March when my issues started.
Toward the end of March I ended up in the hospital with a heart rate of over 125, and my blood pressure was 151 over 93. I was having lunch, when all of the sudden I got what I can only describe as a head rush: my sinuses opened completely, I felt blood rush to my head before feeling really lightheaded and jittery along with heart palpitations and some chest discomfort on my left side. They gave me several types of beta blockers to bring my heart rate down to no avail. After about 12 hours in the ER,.my resting heart came down to high 80s. Ran a full work up, no heart attack. Initially, they thought it was due to my new ADHD medication Strattera, and recommended I stop it which I did. They prescribed Metoprolol succinate 50 mg oral tablet, and I was already taking Mirapex 0.125 mg for RLS.
I had several episodes since where I experienced a similar head rush feeling and jitteryness, but not nearly to such a severe degree,. And I found that drinking sugar-free Gatorade and seltzer seemed to cause the symptoms to subside. However what has been a more persistent issue, is I constantly feel light-headed throughout the day, and sometimes it's worse than others. I feel indigestion a lot after eating, particularly worse after eating breads and starchy foods and the lightheadedness is usually worse at this point as well. The same chest discomfort that was there in March is present but it goes away after burping. I tried having a beer in May, got through half of it before losing all color in my face and again had bad indigestion for the rest of the night and haven't drank alcohol since. Most recently,.I started to develop a dull pain in the right side of my stomach about a hands width down from my ribs, and a hands length away from my navel. Initially, I noticed what I can only describe as numbness in the same spot before the pain began, occasionally the pain goes away and feels like numbness returns, but it still remains at the same spot.
I have a hard time thinking this is not all related, but I can't seem to make heads or tails of what the actual issue might be.
