I’m 33F and in the last 8 weeks I have had my period 4 times. Prior to this, I had a three month stretch of no period at all.

The only medications I am are Prozac,and Omeprazole. No pregnancies and not sexually active.

I have consulted my OBGYN. She ordered two pelvic ultrasounds three months apart. The pelvic ultrasound did show two small fibroids, however my doctor believes they are too small and not in the right place to cause my current issue. Also found during both ultrasounds was a cyst on my left ovary. My doctor said that because it did not grow between the two ultrasounds, she wasn’t concerned. No evidence of PCOS or Endometriosis found.

After my third month of no periods, I was given a medication to induce bleeding. For a couple of months I had a relatively normal cycle.

There has been no explanation as to why my period suddenly stopped and why now it keeps coming so often. I was told my options are limited to birth control pills or an IUD. I’m nervous about the IUD and have had previous bad experiences with BC. I’m feeling hopeless and scared. What could cause these stupid issues? HELP
