I am getting a strange electric shock kind of sensations in my right thumb wrist when moving my arm in certain positions/movements. It feels like a pulling tingling sensation almost like pins and needles which kind of "shocks" down the wrist side of my thumb and into the thumb itself.
I can recreate this numb tingling feeling if I stretch my arms out behind me and then bend my wrist away from me. Is this a nerve thing?
I play drums and after a while rather than a tingling sensations I actually get pain the region near the bottom of my thumb (in the anatomical snuffbox area).
Due to the pain/discomfort this was casuing me when drumming I saw a doctor and had an MRI done a couple months ago for what he suspected was a mild scaphoid fracture, however the results of the scan showed nothing wrong with the bone, tendons etc.
I play drums and it affects that which is why I want to find out the issue/how to fix it
Thanks so much
