Could the vaccine help with HPV at my age?

I'm a 33 year old female and I've had HPV for several years. I've had one wart and I have abnormal cells on my cervix, which were checked with a colposcopy. I'm obviously one of the 20% for whom it doesn't go away. I know the vaccine is less effective at my age and it is not a treatment for HPV, but I've read cases of the vaccine helping people overcome the virus. I've also heard the vaccine can prevent you from getting other forms of HPV. Are either of these scenarios likely at my age? Would it be worth getting the vaccine?
