Nissen Fundoplication Procedure
Post Body

I don’t know much about the procedure. I’m looking for someone who knows about it because I had the procedure when I a couple of months old since I had bad acid reflux and literally almost died by throwing up. I also had a feeding tube also but was able to eat properly when I was 4 or 5 years old. When I was 7 I had the feeding tube removed and was eating normally or so I thought. Even though I eat a lot I don’t get all the calories from the food. I’ve seen a dietitian but they tell me to keep drinking boost shakes and it makes me sick. I then realized that my mon told me about this procedure done and wanted to get more information about it and see if this may be a cause of me not getting the calories on it since it ties your stomach. I’m almost 18 now and never have seen a doctor for a follow up since I supposedly had this procedure. I don’t know if this procedure is preventing me from getting enough calories from what I eat because I eat a lot but I don’t gain a lot of weight from it. If anyone has info of this let me know pls
