88F 5ft 5in 110 lbs My grandma has dementia. She lives in another country and the healthcare isn’t great there. She has progressed through the disease unable to swallow, unable to walk, incontinence. The past 5 days she hasn’t eaten or drank anything. The past 3 days she’s been completely unresponsive, no movement no words, just asleep. A doctor was brought to her house and she was given an IV drip and antibiotics (doctor suspects infection). Her heart rate is good, blood pressure and blood oxygen are all good. The doctor said that if she doesn’t respond to the antibiotics then just to let her be. He doesn’t think they should poke and prod her and cause her pain.
Realistically how many days does she have left?
