Current issue: bilateral swollen feet and ankles.
Duration: off and on throughout lifetime. Currently probably a few weeks.
Medical issues: hypertension, high cholesterol, PCOS, depression, anxiety, gallstones, vitamin D deficiency
Medication: losartan 50mg once daily spironolactone 25mg once daily metformin 500mg twice daily Prozac 20mg once daily Buspar 15mg twice daily Zyrtec 10mg once daily Aspirin 81mg once daily Multivitamin once daily Vitamin D3 5000IU once daily Xanax 0.5mg as needed Melatonin 10mg as needed
I do already have hypertension and currently take losartan and spironolactone for that. I am very good about taking my medicine and rarely forget. My reason for concern is that my feet are way more swollen than I have ever seen them. I can walk, the skin is not super tight, and Iām not in pain. However, my mother has adrenal-lung cancer and her oncologist advised that it can be hereditary. So Iām concerned this swelling is possibly due to a kidney issue.
I do have an appointment with my primary care physician on Wednesday, but should I push to be seen before that or is this ER worthy? Iām not experiencing SOB or chest pain. Just a bit of anxiety.
