Covid vaccine on your period
Post Body

Hey guys, I’m 22F worrying a bit about my vaccine.

I’m due for my first Covid jab tomorrow. It’ll either be Pfizer or Moderna as I’m 22. I’m currently on my period (and I’m a big hypercondriac) so I’m wondering if having the jab on my period will cause any unwanted, severe side effects? Been worrying about the vaccination due to spread of misinformation and extreme anxiety, but I’m pro vaccine and I’m desperate to get it, hence booking it! Is there any advice to not have it on your cycle? Do I need to rearrange?

Editing the post as I’m post vaccine and want to give some info to those who have the same worry.

Everything went great! Spoke to the GP there about it too and she said it’s not a problem. I was towards the end of my bleed but she didn’t know that so it’s not a problem for anyone at any stage of their cycle. Vaccine didn’t hurt, just a sharp scratch. I had muscle aches for 2 days and a sore arm for the same amount of time. It was Pfizer
