38/M, 6'2" caucasian, 185 lbs, rarely drink or do other drugs, but smoke pot or take an edible around once a week. I'm otherwise very healthy.

These odd skin things have appeared on my body three times. The first time was as a teenager, where it appeared in the center of the pad of my right thumb. The second time was in my late 20s when it appeared on the left side of the same thumb, on the pad right next to the nail. This third time it appeared on the ball of my left foot.

If I leave them alone, they tend to look like big, ugly callouses, but I like to trim them down so you can see how they bring the part of my skin that bleeds up into them (this one has been trimmed with a nail clipper). If I mess up and cut off too much of the dead skin they create, they will bleed, and they'll start bleeding much earlier than if I'd just cut into normal skin. All the dark spots in the one pictured would bleed if I cut into them.
