Strep or mono or what

I'm 21, Male, living an unclean lifestyle to say the least, I got tested last Monday for covid which came up negative, they tested for strep 2 times, first was the quick one, negative. Then a throat culture to follow up negative as well. I have an ivory colored pus on my tonsils and swelling is bad, and amoxicillin 500mg isn't helping. When I swallow it's like swallowing a sock of sand...
