I would never have made this post if I didn't think this might actually be this rare. If I am correct with all of this, I feel like I owe it to the medical community to post, maybe see an actual specialist, or even be some kind of rare case study.
Info:
29M, Caucasian, USA with probable double urethra. First noticed the "issue" around age 10-12, so suspected birth defect. No relevant past medical issues. I managed to totally avoid ever getting a physical, I just assumed and hoped everything was all good.
Story time:
All my life I have thought this was normal and medically I had no issues. Growing up I noticed that opening entrance to my urethra I had two separate holes but I never thought of it as abnormal or an issue. Normal urination both holes are roughly equal in output and they merge together into one stream. A common issue (according to my google medical degree) is that sometimes the opening to the urethras will be stuck, and there will be two very streams, and I am wondering if this is actually much more common for me than average.
My internet research (google) has has shown a lot of gross and bizarre options which I do not have. I was unable to find anything saying a double urethra is more common than ~200 recorded cases. So I highly doubted that is what this would be classified as. Recent events have caused me to believe I do indeed have a double urethra and not a fistula or similar. As previously stated I clearly visibly have two separate holes. They both go the same distance and end correctly at the tip of the penis. A new (as I recall anyway) and recent development starting about 2 months ago is that my top urethra would become blocked after ejaculation. I always try to urinate after sex to make sure things are cleared out. In these cases the top stream was blocked and the bottom had about the same flow rate as usual (roughly half total), there was some discomfort and pressure but no pain and urination took roughly twice as long as normal. I was unable to clear the blockage or fix the issue, and the next day the issue would be gone. This has happened 4-5 times now in last couple of months.
Gross warning:
What prompted me into looking into this more, discovering possible rarity, and then posting was I was sitting on the toilet and urinating and after I was done I noticed I actually had a large amount of what I assume was semen and possibly the blockage, covering the area under my penis and on my scrotum. There was enough mystery goo, that it was actually dripping off of me. I immediately took a long shower, checked to make sure everything still looked healthy (No visible issues), and hit up google.
So yeah, now I am here grossed out and wondering if I might actually have been the only person in human history to ever have this happen to them. No plans to go to a doctor unless someone tells me I am going to die, or that this is indeed that rare and worth me being some kind of case study. You know, typical Saturday stuff.
