IM NOT SURE IF MY DOG SCRATCHED MY HAND WITH HIS TEETH
Post Body

19M Hi! I will try my best to explain this.

Basically, i found a red spot on my hand after petting my puppy and i don't know what it is or where I got it.

So this morning, I was petting my puppy, you know just the casual belly rubs and pats on the head. Being a puppy, he's pretty playful so he will try to bite my hand here and there but I managed to pull my hand away every time. Then I stood up for a second and looked outside of our front lawn. Suddenly i felt an itch on my left hand, didn't look at it thinking that it was just an ordinary itch. Afterwards i resumed playing with my puppy.

THEN as i was washing my hands, i noticed a red spot on my left hand. i am sure that it was the spot that itched earlier. immediately i thought, what if my dog managed so scratch me without me realizing it? the puppy has never been vaccinated which made my anxiety much much worse!! i just don't know what to do. If i go to a doctor i cant even say if my dog did it because i really cannot recall an instance where his teeth scratched me. now i'm panicking because what if i just didn't notice it. do i have to wait like 10 days to see if my puppy lives to tell if he has rabies? thank you for the response.

ps. i really don't know or care if i sound stupid rn but it's just my hypochondriac self is really taking over me at the moment.

here's the pic of the red spot i found: https://imgur.com/a/oVJDrqw
