Post Body

I (19F) have had lung issues for a couple of years. When I was 16, both my mom and I had h. Influenza b, which left her with an ear infection and me with bronchitis. We got that treated and managed (thanks to antibiotics and Tessalon Perles). The next year (2018) I had either a year horrible cold or the actual flu, but only went to urgent care after all my symptoms had cleared up except for a cough that had lasted weeks. I was told that’s just the aftermath of the flu and was given more Tessalon Perles. Last year (2019), I stayed with my grandma for a month, and she has a cat. The most I’ve ever spent around a cat before was maybe 36 hours. End of week two there, I started feeling like it was hard to breathe. After a few days of that, I went to urgent care there, where they gave me a breathing treatment and an inhaler (which I have since been informed is an emergency one rather than a maintenance one). This helped enough, but when I left her house and I could breathe again, I coughed for the next month. Went to my pcp, who tested my breathing ability and gave me a maintenance inhaler, which I used til it ran out. Now, I guess my lungs are just probably still getting over everything, but there are days when it’s smoky outside and I really struggle to breathe. Today it wasn’t smoky and it was just normal weather, but we went on a walk, and halfway through the walk, I started struggling to get deep breaths, and it kind of hurt. Is there something I can do to treat this? Other info: Height: 5’1” Weight: 115lbs Race: white/hispanic Medications: Trisprintec I don’t smoke/drink/do drugs
