Constant Kidney Stones
Post Body

I’m a 27y/o female, white/Hispanic, 5’3”, 212lbs and I’ve been passing uric acid stones now for 10 years. In July of 2015, I had a 4cm stone removed through percutaneous nephrolithotomy. (Which was an absolute nightmare.) A few hospital stays later, I had lithotripsy in April of 2017. I have been on medication (allopurinol and urocit-K) for a while and somehow I continue to produce stones. I was in the hospital three days ago for a 5mm stone stuck in my left ureter and when they did my scans, they also found a 2.5cm stone in my right kidney....I am terrified of having to go through that surgery again. Please...some advice. This is day 5 of pain for this stone. I have no health insurance, so getting to any kind of specialist is nearly impossible because I could never afford to pay out-of-pocket.

Edit: I have a few other conditions as well, if it matters. PCOS, hypothyroidism, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and a pituitary macroadenoma.
